Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight trilogy hit the nail on the head with its realistic depiction of Batman, but while the vehicles Christian Bale's Bruce Wayne uses are iconic, their names could have used some work. Batman is a DC character that's particularly grounded in realism due to his lack of superpowers. However, there are many aspects of the character that are harder to translate to live-action than others.
Christopher Nolan's unplanned The Dark Knight trilogy managed to transform villains like Scarecrow, the Joker, and Bane into believable threats inspired by terrorism and organized crime rather than comic book villainy. Likewise, the Lazarus Pit went from being DC's source of immortality to a becoming an underground prison where escape is the real meaning of "resurrection," and the immense power and advanced technology of Batman's vehicles was justified in their military nature. Batman's tank, motorbike, and plane were as realistic as Christopher Nolan could make them, but their names still failed to match their look.
