Given the announcement that the new DC Universe will debut a brand-new Dark Knight, an opportunity exists for the upcoming Batman: The Brave and the Bold to have a Batsuit that honors the original comics more than ever before. The Brave and the Bold will feature a Batman who's attempting to raise his biological son Damian Wayne as his fifth Robin. It's also been confirmed that more of the Bat-Family will accompany Bruce Wayne in his crusade to protect Gotham, just as they do on the page. As a result, it stands to reason that this version of Batman could and should have a costume that very much resembles his Batsuit seen in the current comics.
Batman: The Brave and the Bold was announced as part of the DCU's first chapter entitled "Gods and Monsters." Envisioned by new DC Studios heads James Gunn and Peter Safran, this film will reportedly see Batman and Damian working together just as they first did in The Brave and the Bold storyline by Grant Morrison. Like many of the newly announced DC Universe projects, specific comics have been cited as the direct inspirations for several of these new movies and shows. As such, here are some of the most dynamic style choices DC Studios can make for their new Batman and his costume to keep honoring the aforementioned source material.
