Henry Cavill has joked about his last Superman appearance in the DCEU. Cavill started the shared DC universe with 2013's Man of Steel. Despite being popular among fans as Superman, the actor would appear in a few DC movies over the years, being absent for long periods of time. Now that James Gunn's Superman movie has cast David Corenswet as Superman, Cavill has poked fun at his last time as the Man of Steel in the DCEU.
In a screening for his upcoming movie The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare (via Business Insider), Henry Cavill made a subtle joke about his Superman cameo in Black Adam, saying, "Turns out, I don't have much luck with post-credit scenes. So, I may give up on those." Cavill's final time as Superman was bittersweet, teasing a future as the character that would never come to pass. Instead, Corenswet will now play Superman in the DCU's Chapter One projects and beyond, with Cavill having no DC role at the moment.
