DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn sets the record straight about when the first DC Universe project will premiere, following rumors about Creature Commandos being delayed. With 2023 marking the end of the DCEU, Gunn's DC Universe is on its way as DC Studios is working on multiple movies and TV shows that will build a fresh continuity for the DC heroes and villains. While most of the projects that have been announced are live-action, animation will play a huge role too, as Creature Commandos is part of Chapter 1, "Gods and Monsters."
Despite having initially revealed it for 2024, a recent report suggested that viewers would perhaps have to wait a bit longer to mee the Creature Commandos characters. It has been less than half a week since the original Creature Commandos report emerged, and Gunn has thankfully already come out on social media to clarify what is going on.
When @CarlosEdua42444 asked if it was true that Creature Commandos was delayed until 2025, Gunn made it crystal-clear that the DC Universe show "is all set to come out in 2024. There have never been any delays, thank goodness" while also adding that "any info otherwise is a well-intentioned mistake or misspeaking." While it is still arriving in 2024, Gunn didn't announce an official premiere date for Creature Commandos, which will likely be revealed at some point next year.
