Zack Snyder has confirmed his canceled plans for Wonder Woman in the DCEU, and it's essentially an inversion of Thor's arc in the MCU. Apparently seeking to streamline the more mythological parts of the DCEU with the extraterrestrial, Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman almost had a lot in common with Henry Cavill's Superman. However, this concept would have likely had consequences for the grander shared universe beyond being somewhat derivative of Marvel's God of Thunder.
During Zack Snyder's recent Full Circle convention event, the Man of Steel, Batman v Superman, and Justice League director spoke to the plans he had in mind for Amazonian Princess Diana aka Wonder Woman. Having already revealed the ancient history of the Amazons and their role repelling Darkseid in Zack Snyder's Justice League, Snyder revealed that the warrior women and many more supernatural elements would have been given scientific origins and explanations in Justice League 2 and 3. Snyder would have also flipped the script on the arc seen with Marvel's Thor.
